Your score is calculated as: Tiles Owned x 10 + Largest Connected Region squared x 5. Building large connected regions is key to winning!
Each element beats one other: Fire burns Earth, Earth blocks Air, Air scatters Water, and Water douses Fire. Place your tile next to an enemy tile it beats to capture it.
Higher power tiles (1-3) are stronger but cost more energy. A tile can only capture an enemy tile if its power is equal to or greater than the target's power.
When you capture a tile, your newly captured tile can then capture additional adjacent enemy tiles that it beats, creating a chain reaction across the board.
Hexfire uses Game Center for online play. Use Quick Match to find a random opponent worldwide, or Invite Friends to challenge someone on your Game Center friends list.
